A new post finally

A lot has happened in my life over the past few months.

Kyle and I are engaged!

I am excited, now that I have a camara (grace a J. M. Spiro), to document more of what is going on in my life, with Kyle Leif, and other aspects as well. Thanks Spi for the shooter.

Right now I am working Happily at Ruth Dykeman Children's Center as an Assistant house manager. This is a theraputic home for foster kids with behavioral rehabilitation needs. I can never fully explain to people how much I love this job. I can only ever share bits and pieces.

Other than that I am living off MLK and Othello in the Rainier Valley slowly (excruciatingly) meeting and aquireing friends in this community. I LOVE it here.

Kyle is working for a group who serves the greek community at UW, and is working at the Boys and Girls Club in South seattle.

We are slowly planning a wedding and a life where we can serve each other to the Lord. As our God and Savior Jesus Christ so reveals. I welcome your loving imput and advice (this is all so new~) We are hoping to be married late this summer.

After delighting in good conversation and great company we return.
On our way we pass the iglesia ni cristo, A lovely spanish and philipino church,

...a West African Market,

...a bus stop

and we are home.

Jonny and the Sox

Last night Jonny visited my dream...we were hanging out like old buds...typical: he had big diamond studs in his ears and he was teasing me with a great loud laugh. kyle was there too. The three of us were sitting on a grassy dune by the beach.

My good friend in High-school Jon Lester was the school stud, the jock of all trades. He started football, basketball, and baseball varsity since his freshman year. He stood tall and proud, and everyone loved him.
Props to Jon. Who ever would have thought that at 23 he would be able to say 'I won the world series.'? Senior year he was first pick of the second draft. We all waited the phonecall with him for the big news. The Boston Red Sox snatched this pitcher right up, and that next year he left for their training. A few years later his is pitching the final game of the world series. He pitched the first 5 2/3 innings with only three hits and no runs.

Im proud of this guy for many reasons, a) he was a decent chemistry partner b) a hard worker c)he has made in through a lot of trials with the support of is family, his friends, and God (you can google his story about battling lymphoma cancer in his back) d) he is funny..and only really lives in my memories... but I do have his first autograped baseball June 11th 2002.

Teranga

The Spiro hospitality is unmatched. A generous and delicious meal with great fellowship. And a shot with the new wide-angle, j.spiro is really making a claim in the world of photog.

and...if you check out the right side of the table...we joined together last night with Spiro of course to celebrate our hallows eve.

Happy bday Leah... a month ago

Leah is a dear friend of mine from years ago. We spent many summers working at Island Lake together, since then she has been all over. She moved into the 65th house this september...So we went out to celebrate her 21st.

Save your love

Im very into this. June and Johnny, their stories individually and them together. If you are patient through the entire video and enjoy the way they look at each other and sing together...the last 10 seconds make it all.

What you might not know about June. is that she never thought she was a good singer, and didn't even love singing (except that there was always a demand). She loved entertaining and being her own comedian on stage. She was a jem, and I think John was pretty lucky to win her over.
